Welcome to the Hippie Life!
My name is Valerie and I am a mother of an adorable 8 month old baby girl in Washington, DC. I have essentially been addicted to arts and crafts since my fine motor skills allowed me and have yet to out grow it. Despite this affection, I stubbornly went to school and majored in Neuroscience/Pre Medicine to ambitiously pursue a career in the medical field. While I would love to eventually return to this field (big shout out to all my medical professionals out there!), I have currently devoted all my time to my little cherub. (Oh, that, and my full time job!) There has always been a soft spot in my heart for all things green and organic which was only truly exploited to everyone after the news I was expecting a wonderful bundle of joy!
I believe between my artistic mind as well as my love for science & physics this makes me an expert in DIY projects. Ok...so maybe not, but I believe this blog will be a wonderful (and if nothing else, rather entertaining) place to share all my adventures of stumbling through the city with a dog and a baby in a one bedroom apartment.
